Swish allows you to send money to friends, companies and organizations using your mobile phone. It’s perfect for splitting a check at a restaurant or paying for a bargain at a flea market. You can also pay with Swish when shopping online or in mobile apps from companies offering Swish as a payment option. The money is sent directly into the recipient’s account, no matter which one of the participant banks they have. You can also scan a QR code in order to initiate a payment. Get started with Swish by downloading the Swish app and Mobilt BankID to your mobile phone. Then register for Swish through your online banking service. Once you have finished those steps your bank account is connected to your mobile phone number and you can begin sending and receiving money easily using your mobile phone. You can always be sure of whom you are making a payment to since the recipient’s name will be shown before you authorize the payment with Mobile BankID. Swish works between Danske Bank, Forex Bank, Handelsbanken, ICA Banken, Länsförsäkringar, Marginalen, Nordea, SEB, Skandia, Sparbanken Syd, Svea, Swedbank, Sparbankerna and Ålandsbanken. Requires BankID
On a train in Sweden, only Swish is accepted. This app requires BankID. That’s fine if you have a Swedish bank account. If you don’t, then no snacks for you.

I love Swish. It’s a cool, nicely laid out app that allows me to do what I need to do in terms of sending and receiving money. It’s perfect at its core. My only qualm is with the request feature. I love being able to request money, but I don’t love that the description I put in isn’t displayed after my request is fulfilled. I use the request feature often as I am usually on top of it, and losing the traceability of why I receive payments is a huge detriment to that functionality. It would be incredible if there was a way to carry that description from the request through to the actual payment and history action.

Great that there is no waiting between different bank companies. It really needs to notify when you get a payment though. Right now, I have to open and check the app to see if I got a payment. Enable push notification to make it function properly.
