Pago is a lightweight mobile application that connects consumers with physical and online merchants. With nominal transaction fees, Pago can be used to quickly and efficiently send, receive, and save money. Our easy-to-use Transaction Gateway enables a wide variety of users (i.e., individuals, businesses, payment processors, point-of-sale systems, etc.) to experience a seamless and cost-efficient payment experience.

Pago uses Algorand’s blockchain to enable users to quickly, securely, efficiently, and cheaply send payments worldwide. Pago provides the following key benefits:

Pago provides a simple and easy-to-use payment API for conducting transactions between businesses and consumers. Our Transaction Gateway API makes integration easy without the need for smart contracts. Users can also send and request peer-to-peer transfers.

Pago uses the Algorand public blockchain with a public, decentralized trust model based on the core principles of transparency and security. We utilize ALGOs as a utility token rather than a security token.

For peer-to-peer payments, the sender pays a transaction fee of less than 1 cent (USD) per transaction. For retail transactions, merchants pay Pago a transaction fee of 1% of the transaction amount.
