MyRepChat allows you to send and receive text messages with your clients and colleagues and to meet the stringent requirements of the financial industry. Conversations are retained, and can be reported on or archived with several major third party archiving solutions. And the best part, to your clients it is the same text messaging that they are used to, they don't need to install any special software or apps to communicate with you.
Unreliable, lacking features
The app was strongly suggested by both IT dept and legal. Incoming phone calls are often dropped or sent to vm the second I attempt to answer. I have to call the client back because I’m unable to answer their call. Some texts do not arrive at all, yet some do. I’m in the same location on the same phone so I’m unsure what causes the issue. I’ve called support, uninstalled the app and reinstalled, restarted the phone, everything suggested with no results. Now the app indicates unread messages. I click on the dashboard indicating unread messages then a screen appears saying you have no unread messages. The unread messages still there. Also, clients and employees often use group texts when needing to text a team. This doesn’t support group texts. When receiving group text it looks like one-on-one. Replies leave out critical members.
Should be better for the price
At $180/year I expect better performance from a professional application. I can’t believe there hasn’t been a competing app produced in this space.
Frustrating Experience with MyRepChat!
As someone mandated to use My Rep Chat for compliance reasons, I’ve encountered numerous issues that have made my experience with the app incredibly frustrating. From persistent sign-in problems to frequent freezing, and unreliable integration with the account system, My Rep Chat falls short on multiple fronts. The app’s glitchy performance necessitates regular deletion and reinstallation, adding an unnecessary burden to an already cumbersome process. Overall, my time with My Rep Chat has been marred by technical difficulties, making it a subpar solution for its intended purpose.
Shows notifications when you read all your messages
I’ve had the same problem. I’ll read my messages and this app still shows I have notifications. It’s also done the opposite where it doesn’t let me know a client texted. I’ve read other reviews and I think it’s comical that the developer blames your phone. Guess what? None of my other apps do that? Now they are owned by a company who charges a ridiculous ongoing amount for your website that does not deliver ROI.
Horrible App, no other choice
This service is required by compliance at my broker dealer firm. There is no other alternative. I was really hoping FMG would fix it when they acquired the company but nothing so far. It is literally the WORST and buggiest app on my iPhone by FAR, and I’m not exaggerating. Also, the UI looks like it was designed for desktop and then “Hey, let’s make an app out of that…”. Just terrible. Please FMG, fix it ASAP!
So many bugs….
We are required to use this and half the time the app doesn’t open. Other times when we get a text I get 50+ notifications. No group texting capabilities. Emailed support a bunch and just gave up. There has to be a better app….
Terrible UI and Connectivity
Persistent login errors while UI is that of a crayon drawing. For an industry that requires such an app, this is rock bottom.
Incremental release for usability and performance enhancements.
