It took a while, but MoneyWiz is great!
I used MoneyWiz about 10 years ago. Back then, it was pretty good but had enough problems that I moved to a different app. Now I'm back to MoneyWiz, and I'm glad that I am. It's smooth as silk, with good syncing and a terrific user interface. For a basic personal finance app, MoneyWiz is the one to get.

At first I thought this was going to work great for me. However they only offer one aggregator "Plaid" and it did not support my credit union, my bank or my Brokerage firm all of which are large firms. They don't offer phone support, you have email and wait 24 hrs for a reply so I was very disappointed in the end.

Either I’m missing something or the app is missing a running balance in the check register. If it does then it is too difficult to find or enable. Whoever heard of a check register without a running balance. I need to see what the balance in the checkbook is at any given moment especially when logging future items. I’ve been using this app in previous iterations for years and never had an issue but this seems inexcusable. The macOS version does just fine. Otherwise I love the app and customer service is always excellent.

Setup Chase, a checking and a savings. Easy with Plaid to connect. The app went through setup very easy. Afterwards it kept syncing and when finally done the amounts are incorrect. It syncs all the way back to 2022, based on the current balance somewhere the app has the incorrect balance. Just based on this incorrect balance and unable to fix it, I won’t be paying for the app. It has way too many features which is great, but it can’t get simple syncing correct. Also on another note I don’t like not being able to sync CashApp. While it isn’t a bank, it goes through a banks (Wells Fargo and Sutton). I use it for my business so it’s considered as income. To not be able to add it is a shame. For now I can’t recommend this app. It’s too complex to use it manually, which if that’s the case just use a Excel template.
