Five Cents helps you track your expenses and incomes. The minimalist approach does not distract you from the main focus either adding entries or checking insights interacting with a clean and simple interface. The best way to manage personal money is to enter every expense you've made manually. Adding next utility, groceries, subscription, or snacks expense you think: "Is it possible to get rid of this purchase in my future bill?". This is one of the important steps in personal money management. The insights screen is designed to be simple but pretty powerful: check your spending by weekly, monthly, and yearly periods. It helps understand when you spent more than expected and when follow your budget's rules. Initially, the app was made based on the spreadsheet's point of view. You can notice the common traits between Five Cents and Google Sheets, Excel, Numbers, Notion tables in design. The basics were kept and all the power of charts was added. Be your personal finance manager and take control of your money, wisely plan your budgets, use the app on daily basis and you will see good results in the near future. Five Cents offers monthly and yearly renewing subscription that includes a 7-day free trial and a lifetime purchase. Each of them gives you Pro access to all the app's functionality. You can manage or turn off auto-renew in your Account settings at any time after purchase. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Love the concept, but finding issues
When I downloaded this app, it was because it was exactly what I was looking for: An app that (a) did not retain any of my information, and (b) simply allowed me to record and categorize spending. I would be willing to buy the lifetime subscription to it, if it worked properly. (And I will be happy to change my review if it gets fixed.) I am using the app on my iPhone 14. The issue comes in when I try to edit categories or accounts. There is a bug (at least one) in the programming, so far as I can tell, and it is quite obvious. First, in my version of the app (in February 2024) there were originally two of each category and account (that is, there was a duplicate of each one.) This would be no issue if you could edit them. However, it is difficult to change names or add/delete accounts and tell what is going on. When you change the name of an account or category, it does not seem to take effect. Today, I made a change and then restarted the app. That helped, but the labeling is still wonky—if I could figure out how to proceed to make changes to produce the category label I want consistently, even if I had to keep restarting, I would do it. Right now, I haven’t figured out what the right procedure is to get what I want. To reiterate, I like this app a lot. I do not want something fancy that connects to a bank account—there are lots of those out there. I want this one, and I want it to work right. I will happily give the app 5 stars and buy it, if I can get it to change labels consistently and easily, as I think the developer intended.
Please add shortcut support
All the other budget apps do too much, this one is almost perfect. Shortcuts integration would make it perfect, I would love to be able to use the new action button on my phone to log a purchase without leaving the app I’m in.
Amazing app!
😍
Great and easy to use app!
Very user friendly and easy app to track expenses and incomes. Highly recommend! The only thing I would like to see is the option to export to excel!
Love this app!
I love this app!! I use it everyday and it’s so handy! Two things I’d love to see: (1) showing my net spendings (spent + profit) this week on the home page (2) a way to log reimbursements for certain expenses. Sometimes my friends pay me back on Venmo, and it’s handy to know how that’s related in the app!
All it needs is a widget
A simple widget that can tell how much you spent today and a-click-away to add new spending.
