Complete Waste of Time
As a new subscriber I was excited to check out the magazine edition on my iPad. Saw the other negative comments but decided to try it anyway. Sadly the others were right. The app barely functions and didn’t even load the most recent issues. Pretty sad considering that this not a cheap publication. Very disappointing.
Version as of Nov 2020 is slate
With paid subscription the expectation is above average. IDB IT / Software division is stuck in the past. A college intern can build a better PDF reader than this version of the app. With a weekly release of their "print" better option is use their website than this app. Love to see a refresher.
SATISFIED LONG TIME USER
I can’t believe that 5,6,7 and 8 year old reviews haven’t expired exceeding the age limit. I have been using and reading the eIBD App for some time and really enjoy it. I am a IBD Digital, Print, and eIBD subscriber (its all one script). I have to believe those complaints were addressed years ago. The nitty gritty is IBD is the best financial publication, digital print any way you look at it, top notch powerful enlightening educating fulfilling, but I digress, I’m in disbelief of the number of outdated negative reviews on a nice Newspaper App, bullies. I feel fortunate to have both the IBD Newspaper and the iPad only App. For my Daily IBD fix and success advice I have *Investors.com *Leaderboard and *eTables. Thanks to everyone on the IBD Team.
App old and poorly designed
Immediately wouldn’t let me login or properly connect to facebook. Each time I completed the login steps it said I needed to login to access content. Do not use.
Good But Could Be Better
Every time I do research on a ticker symbol from the newspaper I have to manually look it up because the links do not point to investors.com or other premium tools. And then when I return to the newspaper it does not open where I left off. It returns me to the front page. The app should open from the page and section from where I closed it. All this should be seamless between my iPad iPhone and laptop. (Maybe it needs a sign in requirement for this part.) The reader should be able to start research on one devise and finish the same research seamlessly on another device (once logged in on each.)
For iPad?
This app has no knowledge of the screen size. Zoom and scroll to read.
Touchy controls
Very frustrating reading articles when the up down thumb motion isn’t perfectly straight up & down. Been trying to read the headline story but, after each paragraph or two, scrolling is require. Then, a slight arc while scrolling(the natural thumb motion has an arc) and I’m looking at the next article. Swipe back and I’m at the top, searching for my place. Either reduce the sensitivity or save the location when swiping to the next article.
