Something is wrong with this app
After using this app for years, and I used to really like it, suddenly this morning it says that my account balance is in the negative by over $2,000. I'm not actually overdrawn at the bank, and I can't figure out where this error started in the transaction history. Yesterday, it was fine. Today, it has gone all insane.

Why so many bad reviews?? I'm shocked! I've been having Checkbook HD in my phone for about 4 years, and has always been happy with it. It's a very simple, digital way to track your expenses, a much better alternative to the physical checkbook I've been using up untill I found this app. I've never had a problem with it, it's always syncing on iCloud between my iphone and the Mac. For people who look for a lot of customization, this isn't it. I myself am very happy with this app.

Why so many bad reviews?? I'm shocked! I've been having Checkbook HD in my phone for almost 3 years and has always been happy. I've never had a problem when updating, it's always synced on icloud, sharing it with my husband. Recently i installed it on my Mac, too, but my to go app is still the one in my phone because I have it with me all the time. I'm very happy with this app, all complaints I'm reading do not apply to me.

There are better apps available but this one does what I want it to do. However, I could do things a lot better. I have to re-set the period time to one year everytime I open the app. Otherwise it will only show data from the current month. You can't reorder the columns. You have to use the PLUS button to add anything. You can't just type in the information and hit enter. You have to enter payees into a list before you can use them. It doesn't look like the app has been updated in over a year. That's not a good sign.

It's not the best or even full featured checkbook reconciliation app out there , but i like it. simple easy and affordable. been using it for several years now and never found a reason to pay more for this type of app.

1. Can’t reorder columns 2. Can’t change column sort to ascending i.e. oldest entry on top, newest on bottom 3. Can’t directly enter payee in register - have to enter in a list first. 4. OFX doesn’t import all transaction data - it left out the transaction number, payee; needs QIF import/export 5. Doesn’t have separate income/deposit and expense/withdrawal columns I reviewed the user guide and couldn’t find a way to fix these major faults which make it a deal killer for me. Fortunately, I was able to get it during a temporary “free” period so I’m not out any money. Bottomline: Run away from this software as fast as you can.
