Recently, I encountered a significant inconsistency in the content moderation policies of TSX, leading to an enlightening yet frustrating exchange. Despite their stated guidelines against promoting minors in pageantry or modeling, it became clear that these rules were applied unevenly on TSX. A submission of ours was rejected due to the visibility of a “minor's” name,(even tho our featured model was not a minor) while other similar content, clearly featuring a minor but without disclosing names, was permitted on the platform. TSX's response highlighted a reliance on superficial compliance rather than the essence of protecting minors. Although they offered the opportunity to resubmit content with adjustments, the experience unveiled a broader issue of transparency and fairness in TSX's content moderation practices. This situation underscores the need for TSX to enforce its policies consistently and transparently, ensuring fairness for all content creators. While we were encouraged to edit and resubmit our content, the discrepancy in policy application raises concerns about TSX's commitment to ethical standards and equitable treatment. In conclusion, while the communication from TSX was appreciated, the encounter serves as a reminder of the critical importance of clear, consistent, and fairly applied guidelines in content moderation. It's essential for digital platforms like TSX to not only set policies but to implement them in a way that truly reflects their intended purpose.
