Being new to the UK I was trapped into thinking BBC 4 was the standard of talk radio and for months really struggled with listening to hosts whose shows were always one-sided. Nonetheless, I soldiered on until I caught sight of a Twitter post that highlighted a brief clip from Talk Radio. The rest was history. My drive times to and from work are just sublime and I now have no quarrel with being stuck in traffic. Both Julia Hartley-Brewer (mornings) and Mark Dolan are the best in the business. While they have their opinions, this does not prevent them from having discussions and giving a balanced perspective on ranging views. The App has made this possible as I’m not able to connect to DAB+.
