Ovid has so many titles that are worth watching. While it carries film classics that you may find elsewhere the documentaries are where you’ll find fascinating and challenging subjects from around the world. Ovid also features plenty of films and series that most streaming services are likely too timid to show. Well worth the price of admission.

OVID could be operating out of the recesses of my subconscious. The interface itself isn’t special (looks like everybody’s got a handle on Criterion’s API these days), but the key is content, content, content. Terrific curation, they often anticipate films that I didn’t even know I wanted to see. And not just a few; but dozens, if not hundreds. Thanks, guys. You’d be worth the monthly fee at ten times the price.
