The world's leading marine aquarium simulation is now available for the iPad and iPhone! This is genuine 3D, not a canned animation. Choose your favorite fish from 28 different species, and enjoy as they explore the tank. Adjust the foreground and background lighting, or set the lights to change automatically. Zoom and pan the screen with fingertip control.
Hurry up and avoid
I’m a firm believer that an app should get better with time, this one misses that mark! I have an old iPod touch 2nd generation (if memory serves correctly) and I purchased version 2.6.2 for it. The screens on iPods and iPhones have increased in dpi by leaps and bounds since then. That being said why does this most current version appear blurry? The high def aspects aside I noticed that some of the fish are not interacting with tank pieces as if they were solid. One fish in particular is able to swim through the shell!! That doesn’t happen in the old version. Now, in this offering I noticed that the foreground and background lights have been removed and you get day or night. The previous version the fish were better viewed with a slightly darker background. There’s no rock wall, no crumpled foil just a blurry light blue boring to look at wall. Now let’s talk some more about glitches. While trying to lower the bubble column volume it went out all together. It wasn’t until I closed the app and restarted that it came back on. Also the night version is a miserably darkened screen that if you left it on at night would barely shed any light in the room and fish appear mostly in shadow. This app needs to return to some previous options, repair glitches and get on board with the 4k resolution we’ve all grown to love. Until then the $2 charge for the app is a waste of money. I’m deleting it from my phone and will continue to use the sharper resolution version with the functionality and glitch free performance I love. C’mon guys…… get with the program and stop ripping people off with this bastardized version. That’s my 2 cents.
Glad it’s back
Back IOS. People would pay for new fish and backgrounds. Always slogo on the development of this one. It still holds up after years and years.
Unable to change background color
Live this screensaver growing up and thrilled to have it in my pocket. One bug I’ve encountered is that I can’t change the tank background color like I used to be able to in the screensaver making it a sold black background. When I tap on the background color square in settings, it just unchecks then scene.
Best app on the store
I used to have this app on my pc like 15 years ago. I loved it on my iPad and it was my favorite app. I actually kept my old iPad 2 just to have this app. It was always my favorite to leave on my desk and work and watch the fish to relax. Now after almost a decade we get a surprise update for modern devices. It looks even more amazing on a new iPad. I love the new fish choices, and the ability to select quantities of fish you love. The tanks are larger and the graphics appear higher resolution as well. They took a great app and improved it in every way. I just wish it would work on the new Apple TV like their other fresh water fish app does. I'm so excited to have this app back in my life on all my modern devices. Thank you to the developers for their hard work making this app work again.
Great app
Very beautiful aquarium app
Note on the coral
Very nice, very realistic aquarium, but did the artist not know or forget that coral itself is a living, moving animal? In this app it looks like it is plastic or just dead plant matter, like you might purchase a pet store.
Update needed
Are you ever going to update for apple ipad. I love the app so does my cat :D
Now on iOS, Marine Aquarium has the incredible 3D high-definition wide tank, with up to 30 fish simultaneously. The moray eel lives in the rock cave and six invertebrates enliven the reef.
