On flights with Lufthansa A350, A330, B747-8 and B787, enjoy a piece of home on board with the LH Entertainment App. Control your seat screen conveniently with your own smartphone or tablet. Create your personal playlists from the comfort of your device before your flight from home or on the way to your flight. Your selection will be synchronized with the in-flight entertainment system as soon as you have connected to your in-seat screen. The LH Entertainment app also provides you with up-to-date flight information and a moving map. To use the LH Entertainment app as a remote control for the in-flight entertainment system on board your flight, first connect to the "Telekom_FlyNet" WiFi on board and then pair your personal device with the in-seat screen. Please note that this app only works on flights with a Lufthansa Airbus A350, A330, B747-8 or B787. On Lufthansa flights an Airbus A330, A340 or B747-400 you need another version of the Entertainment App. You can find this in the App Store under Lufthansa Entertainment, recognizable by a gray app icon.
not sure what the point of this is
I guess this is supposed to mirror the inflight entertainment system. But why? You have a screen right in front of you with the same content. As other people have mentioned, it would be incredibly useful to be able to connect a set of bluetooth noise cancelling headphones, since the airline-provided free airbuds do such a poor job. Other things that would be very useful to have on the flight: summary of your current flight info. arrival/connection gate if known. Map of destination airport. Maybe even frequent flyer stats, ordering food or duty free, etc. A downloadable in-flight app is an incredible idea, but this one isn't well executed.
Useless. What’s the point.
So I can watch a movie of a tiny screen but only if I disable the main screen. And only if I want no sound. Good thing this app exists.
Doesn’t work
I’m following the (very simple directions): connect to the WiFi, then press the continue button. I’m on the WiFi (while writing this review), but the button does nothing. Useless app.
NOT TO CONNECT HEADSET
Misleadingly, this app does NOT do the following: 1. Connect your wireless headset/AirPods to the seat back 2. Allow you to view in-flight entertainment on your phone because your headphones won’t connect to the seat back. Other airlines with the same hardware allow you to connect your wireless headset to the seat back. This isn’t some novel idea.

Useless App, Horrible Airline
Trust the reviews, this app doesn’t work. It doesn’t load when you’re connected to in-flight Wi-Fi. No entertainment options available. If you’re looking for a solution to connect with any of your Bluetooth devices, this ain’t it.
Wireless headphones???
I was initially excited to see this app because I wanted to connect my wireless noise canceling AirPod pro headphones to the seat back. I can’t connect my wireless headphones directly to the seat back, so what better way to accomplish this, than to have an app to pair your phone with your seat back, then send audio through this link? Voila! No more wires! And happy passengers enjoying a less noisy flight experience. But this app is totally pointless and lacks even this most basic, MVP functionality… deleting it prior to my return flight.
