So far, meh.
Another update. A book I put into BookReader is showing up with the title of "Second Edition." I go into Get Info to change it, and the app won't let me change it. When I click on "App Support," I'm taken to a page where I cannot post anything unless I already have an account. So, no way to contact the developer. This is a very sad situation, indeed. --- I recently downloaded BookReader, and so far I'm finding it to suit my needs. It wasn't hard to load it up with the books I'm curently working with. My only complaint about the app is that when I open a book and make the type as large as I need it to be, some of the type is then cut off on the right side of the page. Usually, it's only a few letters, but obviously, I want to be able to see and read all of the text. I've fiddled with the margin settings, but I can't get the app to show those missing letters when type is enlarged. I hope the developer will work on resolving this bug. Almost immediate update: I just opened a different book, blew the type up to 300%, and guess what? None of the text was cut off. So, maybe it was a problem with one of my books rather than with the program. Nope, just now, reading the BookRead User's Manual with the text set to 190%, one again, the last word of each line on the right-hand page has its last letter cut off. So, there is an issue here that the developer needs to address. I put the text size down to 100%, but the last letter of each right-hand page was still cut off. Still, I'm finding that this app does everything I need, and so I'll round up and give it five stars.
fantastic ebook manager and reader
I love it. Love being able to manage and put covers on my books, simple elegant, no shop to clutter up the interface. recommended.
"Application binary contains Russian hosts"
SpyBuster reports "Application binary contains Russian hosts" No Thanks! In today's world, I don't trust Russian hosts, servers, apps. there are other good readers, so off of my MacBookPro.
Great reader and library functions
I am very pleased wth the reader and its library funcitons. One feature I really find handy is the sort by date opened. The only down side has been its tendency to trim off 1 to 2 characters on the right hand page. Adjusting the margins doesn't solve the issue.
Fine
Dear developer, i would like to ask you to fix the custom font color for PDF files. Thank you
