With Antenna Point, aiming your TV antenna is easy! The map in the app will display transmitting towers along with the distance from your home to each tower. Antenna Point will identify your location and provide the TV antenna coverage area within 35-mile, 50-mile, and a 70-mile range pattern. The app will help you find the best direction to aim your indoor, attic or outdoor TV antenna. Download the Antenna Point app on your smart phone or tablet, read through the step-by-step instructions and start aiming your smart phone or tablet towards the largest cluster of towers. Once you’ve found the best direction to all the towers, install your antenna in an area with the best unobstructed view to the TV towers. Connect your antenna to your TV and use your remote to scan your TV for channels. The towers are displayed in black markers on the map, and you can tap on each tower to see the main network call sign, like ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS, The CW, ION, MeTV and many more. The app includes a channel list, so you can preview the TV stations available in your area. Tips: After your initial channel scan, check the number of TV stations you are receiving. If you are not receiving all the available channels move your antenna to another spot and rescan your TV for channels until you receive the most channels. You may have to move the antenna a few times until you find the best TV signals. [Note: certain variables unrelated to the antenna’s performance can interfere with signal reception, such as terrain, tall buildings, and trees – try finding the most unobstructed view to the TV towers for the best TV signals]. Crash-a-palooza
I don’t know when it started but I can’t get the app to stay open more than 15 seconds.
App interface
When trying to zoom in to see the individual towers the app keeps zooming back out so it’s difficult to select the different towers
Great app
I used the app, and it works great for helping you with your antenna, I got 4 channels to work that I did not have before I used the app and moved my antenna now all my antenna Channels are completely clear and have no problems with sound and picture quality, and it’s a wonderful app for people who want their antennas to work better!
Serves purpose, but with a fatal flaw
Shows tower location for general aiming of your antenna. However, you can’t pinch to zoom in and verify what towers are what. You zoom in and the app snaps back to the original view. Fix that and add a pop up of what sub channels are on what towers then it’s a five star app.
No VHF stations
Several of my local stations are on VHF but the app does not list them.
Nothing fancy
Nothing fancy but I found it useful.
No Longer Zooms In
I’ve used this app for maybe 3 years and recently I noticed that the app won’t zoom in if my iPhone isn’t still. In the past years I could zoom in and the map wouldn’t move unless I moved it. Because the map can’t zoom in while my hand is moving, the app is very hard to use. Please fix this as soon as possible. Thank you in advance.
