Spatial Vis is a training tool for engineering, pre-engineering, and other science and technology students. The app teaches freehand sketching of 2D and 3D views, which is an important skill for technical communication and improving one's ability to visualize shapes in 3D. These skills have been shown to increase GPAs and graduation rates in STEM. Spatial Vis has 10 unique lessons that include orthographic projections, rotations of 3D objects, and flat patterns. Students complete assignments by sketching their solution and submitting their sketch to be automatically graded. Students have access to hints if they get stuck, but Spatial Vis is gamified to encourage students to try on their own before using the help features. Spatial Vis is designed for students enrolled in a course at a participating institution. Instructors and students not at participating institutions may work on assignments and review the course material through the Not For Course Credit mode.
Outdated and old
It’s so frustrating to use this app because it lacks palm rejection and it has one of the worst if not the worst eraser you can ever use. I hate this app with passion
This is the most pathetic excuse for an app in 2022.
The concept of this app is genius and will really help students, however its current iteration is incredibly pathetic. This performs like an app from 2011, it lacks palm rejection, a smart eraser, and vector graphics. eGrove should be ashamed of the buggy mess they are charging people to use. On the weekends the app is objectively unusable due to the lack of server space. I would not recommend this for your school or institution, it is not worth the headache.
Actually helpful
My physics teacher gave this to us and I actually feel like I’m learning. I can visualize things better
This app is awesome!!
My teacher introduced me to this app and it really helped me understand how to visualize things in 2d and 3d.
Awesome!
I love this app! It has helped me so much with my spatial skills and it’s very fun!
Terrible
It’s just really frustrating to work with as a student
Utterly infuriating
You need tiny, needle-like fingertips for this festering sore of an app. Forced by my instructor to download and use. In the future I will not hesitate to verbally trash this app, that instructor, and the class this was required for. Seriously reconsidering my career choice after this.
