Singularity by Vaonis is the control center for your Stellina and Vespera observation stations. This intuitive mobile application allows you to explore the Cosmos with ease. Receive personalized recommendations on which objects to observe according to your geolocation and the astronomical calendar. Learn more about the history of the Universe and immortalize your trip by photographing galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. AUTOMATIC SETUP Just press the button, and let Stellina and Vespera do the rest. Your new companion will use your GPS to find its position on Earth, adjust its focus and be ready to take you anywhere you want in less than 5 minutes. AUTOMATIC ALIGNEMENT AND TRACKING Choose your destination in the Singularity object catalog or enter the celestial coordinates of the object. Your station will automatically point to the selected area, and track it to maintain optimal viewing conditions. IMAGE PROCESSING It only takes a few seconds for Stellina and Vespera to deliver the first image of your destination before compiling dozens, hundreds or even thousands of other images in real time, progressively revealing ever greater details and colors. SPACE CENTER Take control of your station from the Space Center: prepare your observation evening by checking the weather forecast, create and manage your observation locations, check the parameters of Stellina/Vespera... You can also read the astronomical news or our advice on Stellina and Vespera on our blog while waiting for nightfall. MOSAIC MODE CovalENS is the first automated “panorama mode” ever embedded into a telescope. This unique patented technology, developed by Vaonis, allows you to take several photos of a same stellar region and then automatically stitch them together, thus offering users a larger view (field) of the universe. SOLAR MODE Observe easily and safely the closest star to Earth during the day with the Vaonis solar filters. The Solar Mode allows you to observe and capture sunspots that show the intensity of the Sun’s activity. EXPERT MODE Access an unlimited number of objects with coordinate pointing. Customize your camera's exposure time and gain to generate initial files for manual processing using image editing software. PLAN MY NIGHT Program your observation station for the night and let it explore the Universe on its own. After a good night's sleep, recover your photos on a USB key (Stellina) or via Wi-FI FTP protocol (Vespera). SHARE YOUR JOURNEY ON SOCIAL NETWORKS Your trip is over, share it! Show the world your photos on social networks and join our community of explorers, using the hashtags #myStellina or #myVespera.
Vaonis is a great company
I have owned the Stellina for a few years and love it. The app singularly works well with it and if you are a busy person and don’t have the time to set up your own astro photos, this is the way to go. I love this telescope and the app that goes with it.
The Apple like App Called Singularity
I purchased my robotic telescope from Vaonis last February. And, I must say I’ve had more fun with this app and their hardware than anything I’ve played within years if you’re into astronomy and you’ll quickly be into imaging the robotic telescope, like Vespera and Singularity are definitely the way to go.
Wonderful App
This App is the single most important astrophotography App I use in conjunction with their robotic telescope Vespera. I use it nightly and create a Plan and let Vespera loose! It images deep sky objects all night long and I wake up to discover what we found in the sky last night. This is a TEN! Great hardware and software, kind of like Apple, but in the Astronomy business for the novice user -like you and me. Try it- you'll love it
Please please please add landscape for iPad.
The fact that landscape is not supported on iPad is a huge development oversight. Please support landscape for iPad. No one uses an iPad in portrait mode. Aside from that, the app seems smooth. Like another reviewer, I too downloaded the app in anticipation of my Vespera being delivered tomorrow. That being the case, I haven’t used it outside of signing up and a quick browse through the tabs to see what is offered. Not much going on in the app without the telescope connected, so I’ll update my review after I spend some time with it. Seriously, the app being forced into portrait mode makes me apprehensive to even open the telescope. If I have to use the app in portrait, I’m not sure I even want the hardware. Please fix this asap.
Long time astronomer and I love this
Me and Stellina and the Singularity app have imaged over 20 objects all with fail. I have a massive array of other equipment from a rooftop observatory to an Asi Air on a 106 triplet APO, but none of it come as easy as leveling the Stellina on the ground, going inside, and imaging all night without fail. I know these guys are always innovating so I can’t wait to see what comes next!
Love it
Been getting great results. Need to have planning enabled for the new scope. Also, since the scope is limited to it’s own processing, would be nice to have in-app post processing or even restacking with different settings. Would also be great to stack over different nights. Finally, pictures of the moon are horrible, not sure why, but given ten minutes for the ring nebula in light polluted sky’s, I am impressed.
Different Modes?
I’ve not yet begun using the app as my Vespera is preordered but I decided to download the app in advance. For the most part a like it, however…. I really enjoy it more if could be used in Landscape Mode as well as Portrait. I will be controlling the Vespera with my iPad Pro and it is in a case that includes a keyboard. It is always in “Landscape” mode. Please make this an option.
