Create and manipulate beautiful polyhedrons without any mathematical knowledge needed. With many patterns, transformations, and color schemes to combine, you can create thousands of stunning visual combinations you may save as still or animated images. Best, see your creations alive around you thanks to Augmented Reality. Polyhedra is an application to represent and manipulate polyhedrons using Conway’s notation. You can apply Conway’s transformations to a seed polyhedron chosen from the Platonic solids (tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron and icosahedron), prisms, and antiprisms. Supported transformations are: ambo, bevel, chamfer, dual, expand, gyro, join, kis, lace, loft, meta, ortho, propellor, quinto, snub, stake, subdivide, triangulate, and truncate. Most important of all, no mathematics knowledge is needed to enjoy.
Ask Apple to promote? Great program!
This ought to be very much more popular… All I would like to see is that you can change the wire frame line thickness/coloring and be able to output to programs like nomad or Umake….I’mNot sure of theFile type…..orrr to have atmospheric coloring with the wireframe mode would be nice as well…..WELL DONE!
Profoundly fun and artistic which is why I would like more control over the coloring and line width
Update; still profoundly fun but I sure wish I could export as an object file for cadcam use use use rather than just to the camera roll I can’t seem to find proper instructional help file on my iPad Pro version I would love to be able to control the coloring perspective wire frame line with width etc. well done I’m looking forward to updates all the time and would pay for one..... would also like to see all space filling lettuce forming polyhedra with the ability to zoom through the lattice and… It would be nice if you throw in some quasicrystal that is space filling for an added measure of fun! Great job I intend to use this for artwork after a great deal of color correction and other filtering
Fixes
in the new update you will replace every ‘db’ with ‘m’ instead of replacing every ‘bd’ with ‘m’, fix snub and gyro operators, add johnson solids, pyramids, polytopes, johnson solid near misses, extended operators, cupolae, canonicalization, and anticupolae Please? Pretty please?
- Manual input of Conway strings. - Support for parameterized transformations. - Sample polyhedrons. - UI tweaks.
