Almost 2 hours of video broken down into logical segments will take you through pilot communications. Demystify "tower talk" & feel in control on the radio. Through real-world communications with actual controllers you'll learn first-hand proper communication procedures, techniques to use in every class of airspace, & how to get the cooperation you deserve from ATC. Radio call-up procedures, correct radio terminology, and how to use your radio for increased safety and utility are all there—including communicating comfortably in Class B airspace, when and how to get a Special VFR clearance, procedures for controlled vs. uncontrolled airports— even the best way to resolve on-air disputes. A wealth of pointers on issuing clear and professional communications. Born from a Passion for Flying King Schools, Inc. is the world's leading producer of aviation training videos and computer software. It was first established in 1974, when John and Martha began flying throughout the country to teach ground school courses. A decade later, they began producing video courses in a spare room of their house. Today, King Schools has over 70 employees operating from an 18,000 sq. ft. complex, housing a dedicated video production and duplication facility. In the past 10 years we have delivered more than 2-1/2 million videos with over 4 million hours of video instruction, teaching up to one-half of the instrument students and over one-third of all pilots in the U.S. obtaining training. We are keenly aware of the importance of the work we do. During the time someone is learning to fly, flying is the most important thing in his or her life. We are privileged to play such a significant role in the lives of such committed individuals. We take pride in producing quality work for these special people.
Update
I would love to use can someone update this app.?
Audio is not constant!
Good content, but audio is unsteady, with momentary distortion. Which is very distracting.
Good, but expensive
John and Martha are great, but the videos are old. Price is also high.
I want my money back
Even though this app claims to support the iPad it no longer plays with any sound so it's useless. It was too expensive to begin with but I was willing to pay for the content. Now, due to their lack of support, this thing is worthless. Hey, John and Martha, if you want to sell your stuff on the app store you need to support your stuff like everyone else! Stay away from this thing, it's junk.
No audio!
No audio on either iPad or iPhone. Obviously a technical problem- but for $30 disappointing.
Mixed feelings
5 stars presentation 2 Stars value Excellent presentation of the material. Clear and easy to grasp. Only drawback is the price. Considering this is only one of many apps that would make up a comprehensive course review. This should be at most $9.99.
Please Update
1) Please make available for iPad in higher resolution. 2) Please price more realistically.
