It’s okay
The app functions fine but I can’t help but feel the developers missed an opportunity to make an app that helps facilitate real learning instead another memorization tool. ITIL4 is written in business speak, which is not pleasant to read, and I was really hoping this app would have provided more utility by taking the opportunity to explain in plain English what these concepts meant, but it is just word from word from the OG document. I used it before an exam but if you don’t already understand ITIL4 this is just long strings of buzzword from the business word.
Insufficient practice modules
The reading material was useful from a real-world example perspective but I cannot recommend AGAINST trusting the practice quiz/mock exam details within the app. Incredibly sparse detail regarding specifically service value, ITIL practices, and dimensions of service management. If I had relied on these resources as a primary study source, I 100% would have been unprepared to pass my ITIL 4 Foundations exam.
Good study aid
The case study wasn’t really helpful for the test. It would also be better if when doing the practice questions if it gave you the feedback for the correct answer instead of feedback for the selected choice.
Start Here First! - WGU Students
For anyone taking the ITIL exam, especially for WGU students, purchase this app BEFORE touching the course material online. This app streamlined the critical information first to build your ITIL foundation repository. The reading is heavy and dry but work through it. Complete the “study cards” which have similar questions to the exam. Ace the quizzes and practice exams and you will very well prepared for the exam. WGU students, after working through the app, take the pre & post assessment in uCertify. This should gauge how well you understand the material. Ace those extra quizzes if necessary. Good luck! If Axelos added a “missed question review” like uCertify, it’d be 5 stars…hint hint!
The app says $7.99 but it charged me $20.
Be careful with this app. Price says $7.99 but I was charged $20 as soon as the transaction was complete. “Not cool”.
Good test prep
Acquired this app and found it to provide adequate information to prep for my exam. Between the app and the ITIL v4 Foundations book, the two were able to allow me to pass my exam with and greater understanding. Recommend this app for the price and value. One improvement would be to rearrange the answers when going through the questions.
Helpful but has a lot of potential to be better
This app is very good. It definitely helped me pass my ITIL v. 4 Foundation test, but it wasn't the only resource I used. It could have been my only resource with just a bit more work honestly. For starters it rarely (if ever?) Randomized the order of answers in practice sessions. That holds true throughout the Study Cards, Quick Tests and Mock Exams. I found myself wondering if I was learning the material or simply the order the answer was in. Secondly, the general case study (applied info) was of almost no help to me. One reason is because it is the first and only resource trying to teach you anything. It feels like there should be a course before the case study and THEN the applied knowledge via the Case Study. Now would this warrant raising the price? Probably and it would be worth it! Between this app in its current form and a run through of Dion Training and it's study guide/mock exams I was able to breeze past the exam though, so it is good, I just found myself distracted by realizing it could be so much better.
