LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the exam environment within specific learning and assessment systems. When LockDown Browser is used during an online exam, you are unable to go to other URLs, switch applications, take screenshots, copy questions or print. It essentially locks you into the exam until it’s submitted for grading. Important: This application can only be used with certain learning systems and ONLY if your instructor has enabled the use of the “iPad edition” of LockDown Browser for the exam. If your instructor hasn’t enabled the use of the iPad edition of LockDown Browser, this application will NOT be of use to you. While LockDown Browser isn’t the most exciting app available, it does make online assessments possible. And, hey, you can download it for free. This is NOT a limited-feature version and there are NO advertisements of any type.

Kicked me out of final
Crashes and can’t restart
I downloaded this for my IPad to do assignments on AP Classroom. The first two times I used it it was fine. The third time, I did the same procedure and got a “Network Error: Load Failed” error. I couldn’t exit out of the exam and couldn’t event turn off or restart my iPad. Absolutely horrible.
iPad does not work since new update 2 weeks ago
The iPad does not work since the new update 2 weeks ago. It will ask for the teacher to verify settings on their end for the exam. Even when the teacher has allowed the usage of iPads, it still does not work. Consistently happening for past 10+ attempts. Please fix.
Worked fine for me
Thankfully it worked, no issues.
Horrible Software
This software kicks me out of my test
Must have good internet connection
My last two exams that I have taken for my adult studies classes which are strictly online from my University, have been a total disaster. If you lose wi-fi for any reason, you might as well be ready to accept a failing grade. There is no way to exit the app to attempt to make an reconnection to the internet other than using an Ethernet cable and by then it is too late. The app flags you and keeps saying it cannot find you in the camera. I have reported all the issues to my university IT department and they said there is nothing they can do about it unless the school decides to use another method or program. Several of my professors have removed it from their links and tests on Brightspace. If I hadn’t taken pictures of my answers with my cell phone, I would not have gotten any credit for my exams.
Ipad Compatibility
Is not compatible with ipads.
