The Learn Greek Alphabet Now app will help you learn to read, write and pronounce the Modern Greek alphabet. The entire alphabet is presented in 6 lessons. After covering each lesson, a multiple choice quiz will help you test what you've learned. With its simple interface you can learn the alphabet in a few days. This is an ad-free, stand alone app without the need of the internet. For each letter you will hear the letter name, the pronunciation and a sample word. Start learning your first vocabulary as you learn the letters! Program contains: - Six lessons of modern Greek print with mini-flashcards - Pronunciation guides in each lesson - Practice drawing of letters - Quiz for all the letters Study the letters in each lesson and write them down several times. Use the Write tab to learn to write letters. Click on completed, once you know the lesson. Use the quiz to test your knowledge. Only the lessons marked completed appear in the quiz.
Get an app with a Better GUI navigation
The app gets the job done, but the UI navigation design isn’t good. For example, Each letter requires 2 clicks to get there (you have to go through a main list first. The letters would be better in a 1-click grid. Worse, the pronunciation card is hidden. When you are looking at a letter, you have to know to tap the white arrow (?) to get to the pronunciation. Maybe have an icon of a speaker so that I know what it means? Plus, why 2 more taps? There should be a tappable button or word (or a speaker icon) right on the letter to get to that letter’s pronunciation. Worst of all, come on! Beginners need pronunciation *Repetition*. Lots of repetition. But, no… If you want to hear the pronunciation of a letter Repeated, there’s no “replay” button (?!). You have to go all the way back through the menu *3* taps to get Each repetition. That’s just bad, bad design, dev. Please upgrade the UI to a more easily accessible interface. Thank you!

For a paid app, I expected more. You learn the letter names and their sounds, but that’s about it. No sample words, and the quiz does not randomize the letters enough; I got a handful of letters multiple times and some not at all, even after 60-70 turns. Maybe the writing portion is great, but that does not interest me. You can do better than this on the web for free.

I bought this app based on the description. There are no example words and no quiz. There is a tab that says quiz, but it doesn’t do anything. All the app does is say and show the letters. It also lets you trace the letters, but it does not have both print and cursive, and most of the letters do not have arrows showing how to correctly write the letters. The app description says to see the website if you have questions, but there is no website given. This would be ok as a free app but isn’t worth paying for. Please update the app to include the features in the description.

We’ve updated and improved our Greek Alphabet Now app. Bugs with iOS 13 have been resolved. The new release includes is iOS 13 and iPhone 11 ready. It contains flash cards, a quiz function, along with the letter lessons.
