EZ PUSH TO is a sky map app running precisely when the Bluetooth encoders on GSO Dobsonian is connected. Without encoders, the app still works relying on iPhone's compass and gravity sensor. EZ PUSH TO is designed for visual astronomy. The star map assists you browsing the real sky. The map is concise, but completed with Messier/NGC /Herschel catalogue, double and binary stars, comets and asteroids, and magnitude 10.5 stars (270K stars) for general purpose. EZ PUSH TO features lots amazing interface, such as lazy "roaming" in the deep sky, and "Messier marathon" to enhance your stargazing skills. Just got my kit a couple of days ago, and am trying to test it. Having a problem with Bluetooth on IOS 15.4.1. I get ‘“Romer Optics” is not supported’ when I try to pair Bluetooth in Bluetooth settings. Just heard back from the developer. He said ensure that bluetooth is turned on, but do the pairing IN THE APP, not in iPhone bluetooth settings I already verified that the hardware is good using my Android tablet and the Android app.

I have been using the Romer Optics Ez-Pushto encoders and this app since 2019. I have two GSO Dobsonian telescopes both fitted with the Ez-Pushto encoders. Once I figured out how to use the App, i have come to appreciate how well it works. I Initially align with Polaris, then add 1 or 2 alignment stars/targets. This takes less than a minute and usually enough to start using the App. The App also lets you add additional alignment stars (one for each zone) which improves the accuracy of the system. The App also lets you correct any alignment errors later in the session when you are pushing to a selected target, thereby allowing continual improvement of accuracy. It is much easier to setup than my other motorized mounts (Celestron AGST, Skywatcher HEQ5, Meade LX200). Alignment with these motorized mounts typically take me longer than 10 minutes compared to 1 minute with the EZ-Pushto. Note that the EZ-Pushto works only with GSO manufactured Dobsonian telescopes, so comparison with the other mounts I mentioned is not an apples to apples comparison. Overall great product, and it has helped me locate targets much easier and faster than Star hopping.

It would be very helpful and easily accomplished if you have a fluent English speaker rewrite your manuals- installation, software use, etc. They are confusing and at times not understandable.

This app is probably the most sophisticated and intelligently written app in the app universe. It rivals and compliments Sky Safari as a very powerful astronomy tool. I use EZ Push-To to locate and identify astro objects as a guide for my goto telescopes and as a planner which tells me what objects are visible over the tree lines of my property. Excellent app you must appreciate. I figured out the interface by trial and error. I wish there were better instructions on its use and functions. Stay with it and once you figure it out, it’s just awesome.
