The mobile app is free to use and is designed for Girl Scouts participating in Digital Cookie. You'll need a secure internet connection when using the app and data transfer charges might apply. Use the app to sell Girl Scout Cookies on your phone or tablet. It’s easy for customers to order their faves, pay by credit card, and choose whether to have their cookies handed to them, delivered, or shipped right to their home! The app makes it easy for cookie fans to check out the latest cookie details, nutrition facts and baker info. It’s 2024 folks!
The Girl Scout organization needs to figure out a much easier way to accept credit/debit card payments when the girls are doing cookie booths. People don’t want to wait 5 minutes while you type in all their info. and questioned why we needed their email. I ended up using my personal Venmo account and will reimburse the Troop. So much easier.
Good if/when it works…
This is my 6th year using ebudde. It has been awesome in the past years. This year it has been HORRIFIC. One out of ten times, IF I’m lucky, the app will launch. Otherwise it’s that never ending star that tries to mesmerize me while I grow older by the second waiting for the dashboard to appear. So so frustrating. I’ve had to do all my TPC responsibilities from my laptop or a browser on my phone.
Needs updating
The app really needs an update. It’s easy to approve orders, but it would be nice if it had an option for notifications so a person doesn’t have to check it so often. The app also needs to update cookie goal numbers automatically, right away after approval of a delivery.
Clunky, slow and invasive
Shouldn’t require this much info to sell a box of cookies. Scan feature nice but only scans card and expiration code. Email and name should not be required. Slows process when most carry credit. Hard to keep up with busy booth or in louder area where need to ask buyer to tell email. If no email for customer unable to complete sale. Also, can’t select booth on front end to expedite process. Must first enter sale and then select booth. Needs greater improvement for an efficient sales process.
Account locked
Password reset and unlocking account is a painfully difficult and slow process
No cash payments
It’s wild to me that there is not a way of accepting cash through the app in order for it to still be calculated in your sales. there is a whole demographic of people that prefer to pay with cash and for our Girl Scouts who really love to see their goal updated in real time there’s no way to do that with cash sales for them. I feel like this could be a lot easier to choose a cash option, please add payment options!!!
Needs better user functionality
You should be able to toggle between the “website” version of Digital Cookie and the sales front. After a booth, you should be able to look at all credit card payments taken in that booth and easily tally them up to reconcile at the end of the booth shift. At the very least, $ is more important to see than # of packages when you’re trying to add credit cards and cash to check against inventory sold at a booth. Stop requiring Billing Email. Please add Tap to Pay or at least the ability to interface with some sort of Bluetooth connected card reader.
