Cosmic Ray App is a new iOS application that allows users to detect cosmic rays from outer space with nothing but their phone. The application works by detecting bright spots in the phone's camera when no light is entering. Some of these bright flashes are a result of cosmic rays, so anyone can detect cosmic rays with the camera in their phone. You can save nice events with an email or in your iCloud account or other sharing services. Please contact us with ideas and suggestions! A dedicated slider is recommended for blocking the camera, but electrical tape will also work.
This app is so cool
I love watching the map on the website and seeing my readings pop up. It's too bad that i'm one of two people in the world right now contributing their results to the public. Still though, it's awesome. On a side note, i have a hunch that cosmic particles can be influenced by the mind. Just throwing that out there.
Not sure if this works anymore
This used to work. But I don’t think it works anymore
It good
Good just like a good burger from that movie good burger
App need better UI for display of data.
Detection is ok I guess but the app’s ability to clearly display the data is badly lacking. The device & server data needs ways to sort and graphically show the user compared to other in different regions. Thanks for a good start.
Seemed ok at first now it's does nothing.
First few days it worked great then suddenly to day of eclipse it just shows a white page with no events showing up and past events are not showing up in the cloud.
Not working?
It launches with the white screen only. I don't know if it works or not? Maybe some "relaunch test" button would be helpfull. But for now it does nothing.
Bugs fixed.
