Useless as it does not take pinyin input
This app is sold as a useful too for Chinese learners but it is useless as it requires to know how to type Chinese characters. It asks you to purchase another app to learn how to user pinyin. Other apps, like Pelco, accept pinyin to teach you stroke order. DO NOT BUY. Total waste of $$ for Chinese learner if one needs to learn how to TYPE chinese characters to use this app.

This app is one of my main resources for learning 汉字 and 中文。There is an iOS companion app as well. Extremely useful! 5/5! A couple of things I would like to see… Stroke animation rate seems to only control the rate each stroke is filled. If you set “Strokes animation rate” to its minimum value, it does not change the pause between strokes. For very complicated characters with many dots, the Stroke animation rate is still very slow. Another thing I would like to see on the MacOS app is resizing the window and 汉字 strokes order animation resizing with the window. Just a small wish list from someone who uses this app every day as a main resource! Thank you for this app!
