Description
Many sailors are attracted to catamarans because they offer exhilarating sailing speeds, spacious decks and living quarters, and a stable ride. A feature that’s not so apparent until you’re actually on board and operating a catamaran is its phenomenal maneuverability under power at low speeds. Two engines and two propellers spaced widely apart enable you to pivot a catamaran 360 degrees within its own length — in either direction — without touching the steering wheel. Operating a twin-engine catamaran under power is very different from operating a single-engine monohull, this app is designed to teach you the nuances and allow you to practice these new skills.

The app includes five learning modules that will teach you the basics of operating a twin-engine catamaran, how to perform a standing turn, how to perform a looping turn, and how to maneuver the boat at slow speeds using just the throttles. The app also includes a number of challenge modules that put your new skills to the test - practice picking up a mooring buoy, or docking the catamaran in a marina.
