About 20% of the students have asked for romantic details of my personal life, tried to flirt or have asked overbearing or pushy questions about my personal life. I’ve had students discuss violent memories, reference their sexual lives, drink during a call…I regularly feel anxious about answering a call. I hope Cambly updates some terms of use, ideally with a code of conduct agreement before every chat that students can understand so that the classes remain respectful and professionally sustainable. It is NOT enough to block a student after a bad interaction.
