The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books) before your precious one starts kindergarten. Does it sound hard? Not really if you think about it. If you read just 1 book a night, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That is 730 books in two years and 1,095 books in three years. If you consider that most children start kindergarten at around 5 years of age, you have more time than you think (so get started). Big error
I couldn’t figure out a way to add books that aren’t in their database. And they have nowhere near 1000 books in their database. Seems like a pretty major design flaw.

Love the idea of reading 1000 books before kindergarten. HOWEVER the app is literally unusable. Logs me out all the time. Forgets my kids progress. Takes 5 minutes to load a page. So trash just write it down manually.

I was recommended this program when my son got his first library card. The concept of 1000 books before kindergarten is great but the books I have to add manually don’t go to his read list no matter how many times I try to add them.

This app is straight for the garbage. Doesn’t keep your books added to library. Won’t share any data on the share your reading list option. After trying it for a full day I deleted it. Frustrating because it could be a good app if it actually does what it is suppose to do.

United StatesNot thrilled with app and ultimately not using it
The app is a great idea but the bugs it has are preventing me from continuing to use it. It is easy to add new books; however I’m having an issue where certain books delete from my library, even after adding them repeatedly. I also have issues where I mark a book as read, but it doesn’t register that our book count increased. I’ll often have to repeatedly mark a book read 2-4x before it registers even once. I also found this bug is more pronounced if I’m marking multiple books at once— the first book registers, and subsequent books have difficulty. Restarting the app works, but this is annoying to do over and over if I have multiple books to log. My son is 11 months old, so we read quite a bit of short books throughout the day. Love the idea but wish the app worked better. Maybe we’ll try it again in the future if improvements are made.

It doesn’t make sense that 1000 BBK has limited options for what books you can add. There is no where near 1000 books in their database. I’ll stick to a paper tracker and delete the app.
