Now you don't need to bring up a terminal and type ln -s command Select the desired file or folder in Finder and right-click. You can create symbolic links simply with a click. If the context menu does not appear when right-clicking Check System Preferences> Extensions> Finder Extensions. If it still does not appear, reboot.
You need to enable it for it to work
Other reviewers incorrectly state that it doesn't work or is fraudulent. That is not correct: to make it work, you need to enable "symlinkmaker" as a Finder Extension through System Preferences > Extensions > Added Extensions. Then it adds "Create Symbolic Link" and "Create Symbolic Link As" items to the Finder contextual menu. Unfortunately, it does open an advertisement in a window, so I docked it one star for that. It also defaults the new symbolic link location to Documents, not the folder where the original file resides, forcing you to re-navigate to its destination in the confirmation dialogs, so I docked it another star for that. I didn't dock it a third star for not including the elipsis ("...") in the names of its menu items, but unfortunately, that's three strikes, so I'll be deleting this otherwise useful extension.
DOES NOTHING

Fraudulent
As previously reported, this app is a fraud and does not create symbolic links or do anything for that matter, but display a banner ad for a YouTube gaming channel. Does Apple not have ANY quality controls anymore? Is anyone vetting these apps?

This app doesn't do anything on my 2013 iMac running macOS 10.14 Mohave. The only thing that works is the Advertising Banner at the top of the screen which takes you to a YouTube Channel for gaming. The Symbolic Link Maker is completely frozen on my computer screen. Clicking around does not make anything happen
