Description
Write Scheme code on the go
LispPad Go is a simple, lightweight, integrated development environment for developing and running Scheme code on iOS. The language supported by LispPad Go is based on the R7RS standard of the Scheme programming language. LispPad Go provides the following components:

• A fully integrated Scheme interpreter
• A console with a read-eval-print loop to interact with the interpreter
• A text editor for writing Scheme code, supporting syntax highlighting, smart indentation, parenthesis matching, etc.
• A large range of libraries, including iOS-specific libraries e.g. for graphics, audio, databases, archival, text processing, etc.

The Scheme dialect supported by LispPad Go provides the following features:

• R7RS-compliant libraries
• Hygienic macros based on syntax-rules
• First-class environments
• call/cc, dynamic-wind and exceptions
• Dynamically-scoped parameters
• Multiple return values
• Delayed execution via promises and streams
• Support for the full numerical tower consisting of arbitrary size integers, rationals, real numbers, and inexact complex numbers.
• Unicode strings and characters
• Vectors and bytevectors
• Text and binary ports
• R7RS-compliant records
• R6RS-compliant hashtables and enumerations
• Threads

Great App

This app is great and easy to use. I’ve been learning SICP with this, it’s so convenient! Thank you developer!

I have been waiting for this!

Finally LISP (Scheme) on an iPad with a first class app! Thank you Matthias! I’m an engineer and this allowed me to create my own Beta Function Synthetic Sample Generator. I am playing around with statistics, retirement, and Engineering Economy. I crashed the environment a few times but that’s ok, it was fun. I was able to recover and press on. I have the code that crashes the system if the developer wants it. The sampler will generate 200 samples fine, but chokes on 1000. Thanks again!

A great Scheme implementation

This is a beautiful programming environment. The user interface is clean and easy to use. Documentation is clear and extensive. There are scads of libraries available.

Bravo Indeed

The previous reviewer did a great job, so I can’t add anything more. As William Byrd said, Scheme is the most important Lisp, and now I have R7RS Scheme in my phone’s home page!

Use with SICP, perfect

I can cut & paste on my IPad running iPad OS 14.6, between a .PDF of SICP, and execute the examples perfectly in this excellent app. GUI takes a little getting used to, no big deal though. Fun to play around with! Bravo to the developer!
