Icon Pro let's you quickly create icon assets for your iOS/OSX apps: Just drag your high resolution artwork (preferably, a PNG file at 1024x1024) into the app's window, select a directory for exporting the results, and you're set. Icon Sizes Exported iOS: 1. 29 pt @2x, 29 pt @3x 2. 40 pt @2x, 40 pt @3x 3. 60 pt @2x, 60 pt @3x 4. 29 pt @1x, 29 pt @2x 5. 40 pt @1x, 40 pt @2x 6. 76 pt @1x, 76 pt @2x 7. 83.5pt 8. 1024pt @1x macOS: 1. 16x16 2. 32x32 3. 64x64 4. 128x128 5. 256x256 6. 512x512 7. 1024x1024
Simple, and yet buggy
Exports all the sizes I need, but unfortunatly, almost all of them are in some way or another incorrect. Like, 60px ends up as 120, while 60@2x ends up at 240, etc. Others aren't even square, like 20@2x ends up being 80x100px. I'm happy to pay more than a buck for this, but even at just one USD, I think I can still expect this to work, can't I?
Doesn’t work
I had my 1024 x 1024 image all set and ready. I dragged it into the input window for Icon Pro. I clicked on the checkbox “Create Mac Icons”. It did not create any icons. Instead, it created a set of PNG images in sizes 512 x 512, 256 x 256, 128 x 128, 32 x, 32, and 16 x 16. This app does not create icons. You can accomplish everything it does with the “resize” command in any standard painting program.
