Great app needs update
Used to be able to access from an Apple Watch, no longer accessible on the app.
2.2.0 update no longer allows unlocking via Apple Watch
I’ve enjoyed using this app up til the 2.2.0 update in July 2023. Prior to the update, I could get 2FA notifications on my Apple Watch and could unlock my computer via the the notification on my watch. Now, since the update, I can still receive notifications on my watch but no longer have the option to unlock straight from my watch. Now I have to big out my phone to unlock. This is a big regression.
Remote workers
Wry easy setup for remote workers and cyber security compliance.
Fantastic MFA solution.
MFA solution works great when it is properly setup.
Questionable
Collects more information than other more reputable MFA apps (MS Authenticator, Authy). MFA does not need this information to function. Very questionable why this app does. Would not recommend and would immediately uninstall if not required by my work.
Fantastic
Easy to use and easy to backup third party tokens. Could be easier to move other tokens and would be nice if third party tokens retained images more consistently. Could be clearer to end users that non “third-party” tokens will be emailed to them instead of migrated… though that needs to be addressed via the IDP portals self activation feature in case they don’t have access to a cached email login. Other than those specific knit picks the app works great and features a biometric scanner in-app for viewing the TOTPs. Also allows custom images for each token.
Easy token management
Great push notification feature, supports iCloud backup now, and has the ability to use custom pictures (both for personal tokens and corporate ones!)
In version 2.2.0 of the AuthPoint mobile app, when you log in to your password vault the password manager now creates a session and remembers you for five minutes. While your session is active, you are not prompted to authenticate with your PIN or biometrics when you use the password manager. If you leave the password manager while you have an active session, the password manager does not clear form fields. This update also includes minor bug fixes and improvements.
