Was working great
Since the last update it’s keep crashing on me. The app was working great
App crashes
Since the lastest update, in the middle of creating orders, my app with crash if I try to add multiples of the same item to my cart. It doesn’t save your order, (unless it’s In your cart) so you’re forced to start all over. I had a previous issue (which was resolved by my supply house) where items were in the cart, but when you selected to view the cart, no items were present. This also prevented adding new items to the cart. It’s convenient if you’re making after hours orders, but honestly, just call the supply house.
Hopeless
Remember when Viking Electric had the best online system for ordering? Well now they are as bad as their competitors. Maybe it’s time to fire the IT department.
Used to be great, now bad bad bad.
A lot of the products don’t appear. The seach does not work. I have to go to a competitors site to find th epart numbers and them come back to order it. It’s really bad, IT guys don’t care.
Version 200.1
Much improved over the last 1-2 years. Able to adjust accesses depending on username, able to have personal part numbers, and even have a group of like products saved. Makes it easier to order frequently grouped or purchased items.
Spiraling downward
Viking electric online use to be the best of all my suppliers. No longer. It’s as if they have tried to make their ordering as bad as the competition. Most of the materials I order don’t show up as stock in their system. Things as common as loadcenter breakers don’t exist. I have used Viking Electric’s part numbers and returned zero results. No one seems to care either. Who are they targeting with this web based system?
Loss of Functionality and User Friendliness
3rd version in about as many years and each one has been a little worse than the last. Very unclear why these changes keep occurring. With this version their is no ability to filter or sort once you are in categories. They should try beta testing before replacing a version that works fairly well/good with a version that is really clunky. I hope there are many upgrades in the pipeline and some of the functionality returns, until then, I guess I’ll have to google manufacturer’s part numbers or call my orders in.
