Descartes MobileLink Delivery extends Descartes world-class routing and scheduling systems to the field, guiding your drivers through their day, and completing the final link in the chain of custody through accurate Proof of Delivery. Drivers begin their day by reconciling items prior to departing their depot, making certain they have all they need. Upon arriving at their stops, drivers may scan items on and off their vehicle, ensuring the customer gets everything they were supposed to, and nothing they weren’t. If an item is damaged or refused, the reason can be recorded and photographs taken. Upon completion of the stop, the customer verifies all the items delivered, and signs off, confirming the driver’s actions. Additionally, MobileLink Delivery may be customized at almost any point within the application to allow the collection of data specific to your organization, such as load quality, surveys, or re-ordering of supplies. And while MobileLink is guiding the driver through their day, it’s also communicating to Descartes servers, providing operational and customer service personnel real-time visibility into the status of the driver and their deliveries. Disclaimer: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
Signature
It would be helpful if we could have ease of signature when we are done with delivery.
Camera
The camera works fine besides not having the zoom work anymore also realized that we used to be able to take as many photos as we could for shipments now it crashes after 8/10 photos I sometimes have more then 15 to 20 orders and it’s very hard to snapshot each order when it keeps crashing
Need Improvement
The app alone is ok but can use improvement to benefit the user. The camera caption is fixed at a zoomed-in position and there is no option to adjust camera. You have to stand back to get the image in full frame. When you take the photo in landscape view it zooms in even more and there is no way to change it. This was not the case a few months ago but someone thought this change was important. Taking photos upon completion of the installation and delivery is the most important part of using the app.
Worst app ever
My workplace started using this app it’s the worst it will route trucks to cross paths in the middle of the route to deliver to the same place or close to it instead doesn’t consider traffic as part of anything doesn’t consider weight it will route backwards from what common sense should be and have us drivers carry 30,000lbs around until last stop of day instead of making that the first stop to drop all the weight to save fuel and time wear and tear on truck just a excuse for someone not wanting to do there job here punch deliveries in a app it knows best!!!! Haha
App has more issues than a narcissist
Too many issues to list but here’s a few, loads orders that you skipped, some days the app won’t let you load your route, routes don’t always close at the end of the day so you have to manually close them via calling dispatch.
Decent.
The app is in a much better state. Rather than a year ago. It’s just harder for live updates when you are communicating with your dispatch and you upload a cord specifically it does not show up immediately on the order that’s usually the only problems I have with it and also the app has coloring issues and you don’t know when you can or cannot take a picture at times I feel like a update every 2 weeks will be necessary just for performance purposes.
Need Pictures
We need to be allowed to take pics from our gallery this is annoying for us local drivers
