Won’t download
I have used Chimport for years. Suddenly, it’s no good. I dug around and came across MailChimp Import, which has apparently replaced it (thanks for the notice). When I go into the App Store, it says “Update,” but when I click on that, it just spins. I let it go for 4+ hours yesterday, came back, and it was still spinning. Can someone help with this? I have a campaign I want to send and I was trying to not have to import my newer contacts one-by-one. Thanks.
Can’t search by name!
This is a somewhat good app. There is on MAJOR issue with it. The app won’t let you search by somoenoe’s name. It’s awesome that you can access your contacts on Mac but only searching by email to add the contact to your list. This seems to be a really important overlooked feture. WHY mailchimp WHY?
Worked Fine ~names-Doesn’t import phone/address
This app worked perfectly fine to import the contents of the address books on my mac including both and iCloud and gMail address books. It did give me an error message at the end indicating that it had timed out but 30 minutes later it appeared that all of them had downloaded. Beyond the concerning message, my only quarrel is that it doesn’t import the phone number and address info. I suspect that I could use CSV to do this but I’m settling for the quick and easy.
Confusing instructions followed by no results.
I read and rereed the direcitons. Got to the Import page. Showed all contacts. I have a list inside the all contacts. Did not give that as option. Showed where to drop addresses. Dropped thmseveral times. None stayed. Why do they tell you that MalChimp Import works when it doesn’t. Frustrated after an hour of hope. Nothing to show for it. Tad in Richmond 4/30/2018
They just stole my money
worst experience evr . I used the paid version of mail chimp for 20 minutes .. after i launched my first campaign I get blocked without any explanation then I get an email that tells me to seek another vendor … I asked for a refund or for an access to remove my credit card information as i don’t want them to charge me again , but no answer- they have no phone number and chat customer service and not answering my email . now I owe my boss 25$ and concered about them charging me for nothing next month . I know this company is famouse but this one looks like a scam .
Infinite loop when trying to download and use MailChimp Import
Update. I figured out why I was in an infinite loop. The window that lists various software to use to import contacts has the MailChimp import at the bottom. It says to use MailChimp import by downloading from the Apple store. I did this but there is no option given to add my contacts using the MailChimp import. So everytime I tried to create a list in MailChimp I kept ending up back at the window listing the import oftware and MailChimp at the bottom. After going in a loop for an hour or so I finally figured it out. What I needed to do was log out of MailChip. Then open the MailChimp Import. A message came up asking me to allow the software to access my contacts. Then I was able to go to my various mailing lists and select the contacts I wanted to import. It might be a good idea for MailChimp to be able to know when the MailChimp import has been downloaded so it will no longer put you back to the import software list. MailChimp import should automatically open up when the user is working in MailChimp. If the user changes their mind about using MailChimp import there should be an option to select a different one. Once I figured it out it worked great!
