Only mobile app
You can't even use the desktop version of this app without paying $50/year. The free and personal versions are of course affordable, but are only for mobile app. I'd love to try out a desktop version for $10/year to see if the app is as good as it looks, but that's not an option.
Update: Disappointing that it is not iPad native… still 8 months after they said there was a beta.
Update: Disappointed it its current state for iPad/Mac users but if they make the improvements they promise this could become as good as Hours Time Tracker(their other app). Hours TimeLord was advertised as being the newer better Hours app. It is apparently still being developed and the initial release is missing critical features for me like working on the iPad as a native app. It is also less information dense. In Hours Time Tracker I can have 10 timers viewable on the screen at one time on my phone. TimeLord only shows 7 in the same space. I run hours on the iPad on 1/3 of the screen with my calendar on the other 2/3 of the screen all day for work. That setup is a game changer for productivity and time tracking. Since Hours TimeLord is not iPad native this setup is impossible. Effectively this is still Hours Lite. At present, if all you need is a phone based time tracking app this may be the perfect app for you and the subscription is cheaper than Hours Time Tracker. However, at this point their other app has the features that matter to my busy workflow. That said, I really hope they get the iPad functionality done. I was told 8 months ago there was a beta app and then told I would be invited to the beta and have heard nothing since. For my money, their Hours apps is still the best bang for your buck and I have tried quite a few of them in the past.
Needs better code
Randomly, timers refuse to stop. This makes a timer app kind of useless. Please fix the code.
Terrible update for accessibility
I’m a blind user, and have used the original hours for years. This new time lord version has pop ups that are not properly tagged for voice over, so I cannot create a timer or start a timer due to the accessibility barriers. Always hate when developers “update” something and break the accessibility they’d undoubtedly worked hard to make in the first place.
Why Mess with a Great Thing?
The developer has taken what was an outstanding app (Hours) and traded it for a hot mess. TimeLord is a shadow of its predecessor and there doesn’t seem to be a good reason for messing with what was a great thing. The new interface is a pale imitation of Hours; it seems that changes were made only for sake of change and not to improve the app. One star, would not recommend.
Former Timeular user > TimeLord wins
Hello, I have been using Timeular for 3+ years and I used their physical octahedron die to manage my time, but their platform and tools no longer fit my needs. The main issue was that they are desktop based solution rather than mobile device. Here are what TimeLord solved for me: - Easy to horizontally scroll the timeline of time spent - Easy to vertically scroll (and search) for task to time track - Easy summary on mobile device for current time tracking while comparing other summaries - Very nice 24-hour mini pie that shows me color coordination of my time spent - Super super super mobile device friendly. Here are what I wish for: - An Apple Watch compatibility like the original Hours app to extend my reach (if phone is far) - Email summary of my report per week - Allow settings preference/option to switch timeline vertically for calendar experience - Desktop/iPad version. Other than that, thank you for this app! Keep it up ☺️
