The J. J. Keller® Encompass® ELD app is the industry’s most simple, flexible and affordable driver electronic log. Formerly known as KellerMobile, this patented ELD mandate-compliant solution is used by commercial motor vehicle drivers to electronically capture hours-of-service duty status information, replacing the driver’s paper log book. The app uses a driver-friendly interface to present hours-of-service data to drivers, helping them optimize their on-duty and driving hours and reduce the risk of violations. HOW DOES IT WORK: Hours-of-service and telematics data is captured via a hardline adapter from the engine’s diagnostic port into the ELD hardware. The hardware continuously records and stores engine data. Data is transmitted via Bluetooth from the hardware to the Encompass® ELD application on drivers’ iPhone® or iPad® devices. Hours-of-service data and alerts are presented to the drivers in real time using compliance rulesets determined by the company. Data from the iPhone® or iPad® device is transmitted via cellular connection to the Encompass® online back office portal for hours-of-service auditing, reporting and recordkeeping. Rarely keeps me logged out
After I submit my log and log off duty, the next day it says I’m still on duty. So at least once a week (usually more) I have to edit my logs. It is very annoying.
Software is frustrating
This thing will log you out a dozen times a day, even if you haven’t touched your phone. Maddening

This ELD doesn’t allow you to take the shorter end of the sleeper berth break first. You must take a 8 hour break first. This ELD is not compliant with FMCSA new rules. It will not pause your 14 hour clock after taking a 2 hour break.

Complete garbage
What’s the point of using ELD’s because drivers can’t be trusted to be honest with logs, when you constantly have to edit the ELD logs because this app does whatever it wants whenever. Convenient features: it disregards your logout just I case you’d like to do some CMV driving while you’re at home sleeping. Randomly logs out while you are on the clock actively working just in case you’re actually not and forgot to log out.
