Formed in 1947, EasyPark was originally owned and managed by an early version of the neighbourhood Business Improvement Association (BIA) under the name Downtown Parking Corporation (DPC). In 1954 the company was deeded to the City of Vancouver. In 2001, the company underwent an extensive rebranding process and was renamed EasyPark.
EasyPark and all our suppliers are BC-based companies. Ensuring BC-based, local companies are supported is important to us and to our customer and clients. During these globally challenging times, it is important for us to support each other. Supporting local businesses connects us all in a common goal.
For over 70 years, EasyPark has been providing safe, clean, friendly, convenient, and affordable parking to the Greater Vancouver community for public and private owners. Our growing success in the industry is based in great part on a basic, grassroots concept: make the space welcoming, keep it that way, and customers will be happy to return. EasyPark now operates as an independent corporation under a model most similar to not-for-profit through which we remit our net operating earnings to our respective clients. Our clients receive 100% of enforcement revenues less the cost required to generate those revenues. We have reinvented parking services for parking facilities for clients such as municipal public-sector entities, including the Vancouver Park Board, Vancouver School Board and CMHC Granville Island, and some of Vancouver’s largest property management companies.

We present ourselves no only as the best-in-class in industry customer service, but also as a business intelligence provider that enables our clients to make better-informed decisions about their parking operations through our operational tends and live analytics.
Being able to use the payment solution that they have on their phones means great service for drivers. Given that premise, EasyPark has become the only parking operator that allows multiple mobile apps and payment methods to be used on the parking premises (Honk Mobile, PayByPhone, Passport, and Park Mobile.) EasyPark also accepts 5different credit cards, and PayPal through the Honk Mobile App.
EasyPark’s experience, expertise, and innovation in our technology development and marketing programs have positioned us as industry consultants in multiple fields and earned us national and international recognition through6Canadian Parking Association Awards in 8 years, 2 National Parking Association Awards this year alone, and 7 International Parking & Mobility Institute Awards in 6 years. The awards honour achievements in areas ranging from operations, marketing and communications through to customer service, individual achievement and Best in Show.
Recently, EasyPark’s executive team has invigorated EasyPark’s corporate environmental responsibility platform and it sits high on the community priority lists. EasyPark is a long-time champion of the environment and our programs include: operation of a carbon-neutral fleet, establishment of almost 100 electric vehicle charging stations, promotion and use of waterless car washes at select downtown sites, use of solar-panelled meters at all of our outdoor meter locations, and achieved a 85% reduction in paper invoicing by moving clients to electronic billing options. EasyPark has created strategic partnerships with all local car and ride share companies. EasyPark is currently the only parking company certified under the City’s Climate Smart Program and is committed to purchasing carbon offset credits for our clients. EasyPark is a strong social support advocate and is committed to preserving the environment.
