Make sure to apply for a lot of jobs. Only about 5% will hire you. At least that is my experience.

This app gives you 5 days to complete a video. That is tight, but fine. Until you get super sick in the middle of a project and they won’t grant you any exceptions. Beware this will significantly impact your on time score and eliminate any bonuses you would otherwise be entitled for. It’s a scam. Go with other apps to create UGC - they are way better and more client centric.

United StatesPoor rating system makes unfair for creators
The biggest pro in my opinion is that the The Support team for this app are all very nice and helpful. The cons- the only way to make decent money on this app is if you’ve reached premium quality status: +4.8 /5 overall rating + 90% on time delivery. I’ve completed 30 tasks so far and only received 11 ratings from these brands. Every rating i received has been a perfect 5 except ONE unfair rating which was 2/5 stars. This has kept my score below 4.8 for months!!! It is completely unfair for creators. Most brands do not care to give you a rating even if you do a great job. BTW the 2/5 star review i received for my work was posted to the brands page and outperforms most of their content 🙃

If your in the beginning stages of ugc just don’t. I’ve tried twice now and the feedback I’ve received back is along the lines of “you need better equipment & experience to be of use”. Unsure how that’s going to happen if I came to Billo to gain said experience. If your pretty far in your ugc career then try it but based on the pay in the app it’s not the 250-500$ gigs you may want. Read all the reviews before you invest any time in this app.

On my journey of becoming a content creator, I wouldn’t have known the first thing about communicating with or working with brands if it weren’t for Billo! As you’re starting out, Billo provides the perfect platform bridging the gap between creators and brands and takes all of the scariness out of the equation. They teach you how to set up a portfolio, and facilitate communication between creators and brands. I have really enjoyed my time on the app. It took a little while to start getting hired but if you give each project your very best and communicate you’ll quickly start seeing more work!
