Restaurant managers all over the world use Avero’s Logbook to communicate with their teams about important events that occurred in their operation throughout the day. Good communication is critical in restaurant environments since one shift picks up where the last shift left off. The Logbook makes sure that every team can start with a complete picture of what’s going on in the restaurant. A custom set of fields (e.g. Maintenance Issues, VIPs, Service Notes, 86’ed Items, Employee Issues, etc.) let managers contribute the qualitative story of notable events and issues during the previous shift. This app replaces expensive physical notebooks found in the back office of restaurants. Whereas notebooks are static, susceptible to loss and damage, and aren’t integrated with sales and labor performance data, Avero’s Logbook pulls data directly from the POS and time clock systems to provide quantitative performance insights. Plus, local weather information and national holidays are included to help set expectations for upcoming shifts. Add national sporting events and local happenings with a few clicks, and include your promotions, live music, and happy hour specials too. With all this data in one place, Avero's Logbook paints a complete picture of performance. This is vital information to successfully planning the next shift, week, month, or same day next year.
Where is the value?
I’ve used the app for about a month. Is it a little irritating that it doesn’t save my password? Yeah kind of. But why? WHY!!!? Why does it exit out and boot me out when I am in the middle of writing notes. It offsets any and every possible benefit and convenience of having phone access to the logbook. I’m here at the end of long day with another one ahead of me and would love the convenience of just sitting in bed with my phone and typing in notes while watching the Barbie movie with my wonderful partner but no. NOPE. One random click on the left half of the screen and BAM! Straight to my home screen and gone is the paragraph I just spent 10 precious minutes writing. And there is no predictability. If there were some discernible pattern of actions that led to said error, then I could simply avoid those actions and use the app to do what I need to do. But no. It makes the app unreliable and utterly infuriating. I mean have a little empathy here and for pete’s sake MAAAAAAAAKE IIIIIIIIIIT BETTEEEEERRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same
Same as everyone else.
App doesn’t work
App worked for one week and now crashes every time I open it. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same outcome, I wrote this review two months ago and it still hasn’t been fixed.
Crashes even before it opens!
Can’t even get the app to launch.
App quits repeatedly
App quits every time you try to log in. Incredibly frustrating! Please come out with an update!

Crashes all the time, desperately needs to be updated
Avero is instrumental to my organization but the logbook app, which we would like to use every day, is unreliable. It crashes all the time and loses all input data. So many times we will be writing notes on the app only to have it crash and lose everything. Please update the app. It’s been over a year since the last update by Avero.
- Updates the application to be available to all Avero users for the full release of new logbook. - Adds better crash reporting tools to help the development team identify and fix issues.
