Enjoy FPL anytime, anywhere. Access your account, search for library materials, download eBooks and more, learn about upcoming events, watch recordings of past programs and stay informed about library information.
Others miss the point
The app is a placeholder as the library updates their complete user interface and database. The website is now done and you need to build a new login. So, the old app would have not tied to the new information. While it is unfortunate that the app isn’t complete at the time of the rollout, I’m hoping for the best and appreciate that the old app was decommissioned appropriately.
New App doesn’t do, well, anything.
The banner at the top states functionality is coming in a subsequent update. Currently, the app resembles a webpage from 1996. Most buttons just open webpages in one’s browser. One can’t even search the card catalog—it just displays search results for ebooks on an external site. It’s a bummer the old app was decommissioned before this one was ready. The old app was very useful in times of Covid 19 social restrictions.
Generic design
The app design doesn’t use any of the iOS design guidelines. Doesn’t even feel like a native app.
