The catholic Good News Translation (GNT) bible, formerly called the Good News Bible or Today's English Version, was first published as a full Bible in 1976 by the American Bible Society as a “common language” Bible. It is a clear and simple modern translation that is faithful to the original Hebrew, Koine Greek, and Aramaic texts. The GNT is a highly trusted version. Features: • Old and New Testaments • Off-line access to the all components of the application • Fonts support • Themes support • Bookmarks and Notes for the Bible Verses and Bible Books • Fast bookmark selection • Copying text in the clipboard • Simple and user-friendly interface • Flexibility of the application

I love this app
I searched and searched for an inexpensive audio Bible app suitable for me as a Catholic and in this GNT app, I found it!! According to the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Good News Translation, Catholic edition, is acceptable for private devotional use. I love how you can easily bookmark and pick up again where you left off, and move easily from book to book and switch to a different chapter or book. I’ve only listened so far to New Testament books but I have to say that the person doing the reading does an EXCELLENT job (in my opinion). He reads as if he understands what he’s reading and this makes a huge positive difference!
Wonderful!
I have been looking for an audio that I can read along with. The only problem I have is paid for no ads but still getting them . I really enjoy the audio . It’s perfect! Thank you!
Paid, but ads still popping up!!!
The App said $3.99 for continuous play and ad removal but the amount charged was $4.99 and ads are still popping up after every chapter. Wish I could get my money back.
Inappropriate ads
Finding ads is bad enough, but to place ads that seem inappropriate have just made me delete this app. It analogous to a state legalizing marijuana because of a shortfall in the budget. Some things simply should happen especially with the Bible.
Ads keep popping up
After I paid the $4.99 for continuity of the Bible chapters and elimination of advertisements, the ads keep popping up distracting from my meditation. I am forced to turn to the add and manually turn it off each time.
Good News Bible - Catholic
The voice is obviously computer generated. The computer does not always make the proper pronunciation choice when it comes to homographs. Also, some of the names are mispronounced. The voice is is rather flat without emotion and the Bible verses sound like a bunch of run on sentences. Nonetheless,I am grateful for this rendition and will continue to use it as some books in the Old Testament are quite boring yet deserve to be read. Thank you.
