Repetitive, low skill game
Everything about Wipeout Merge becomes repetitive within half an hour. It’s a slog to collect all the cards, the ‘racing’ has very little tactics (or racing for that matter), and the pricing of everything escalates too quickly (standard). Seems to have a bug that you get rewards without watching videos tho, so that should speed things up! Nice visuals and good to see Wipeout not forgotten, but this game does nothing for the franchise except expand its universe with some team leaders. Ship names pretty uninspiring though!

Why do game devs/publishers believe that all mobile games must be watered down to the point where the can be played with a single finger. Wipeout is a game about racing hover cars at hundreds of miles an hour on tight circuits that require split second driver reactions not merging two of the same ship together to create better version also the “racing” sections of this game are a complete joke. There is ZERO skill required it’s just choose a ship that has higher numbers than the opponents and choosing a weapon that you will most likely use two seconds into the “race”. It’s sad to see games that could of had great potential fall flat on their face because they were made too chase the current mobile gaming “trend” and I feel like the failure of this game may end up killing the Wipeout franchise as this game is obviously on life support as it hasn’t had any major updates other than bug fixes meaning it has most likely made little money thereby telling Sony that people obliviously don’t want to play Wipeout anymore when actually we would love too see a new Wipeout RACING game and not some merge 2 rubbish.

Okay so it's not a typical wipeout racer. But it's a very well put together wipeout idle game. I've noticed a lot of bad reviews and the ratings are split down the middle. If you keep playing you'll enjoy it more, seriously. I was sceptical. I didn't like it much. But I kept playing and now Im on it every day trying to max everything. My goal is to win 1,000,000 races. Plus.. With micro transactions on this game, that could fund the next main wipeout game on playstation. Think about it. Support this game and be patient. I do however have one request. I'd like to see a leaderboard with everyones scores. Please 😇

Y’all turned a classic racing game into a merge mansion/castle etc. clone ???? Who the hell thought “oh yes a racing game into an idle game sounds good” I’m so sure this wasn’t the plan but execs tried to push this idea they thought was cool bc the idle mobile gaming industry generates big bucks 💀 I’m so sorry for the 3d artists who put all this work on the tracks for nothing and no interactivity. Also yes I’m so sure this game wasn’t supposed to be this at first bc they literally changed the name after launching it and it’s still only available in very few regions (I changed my accounts region to be able to try and and wow so disappointing), I think the developers know how bad this is and they’re ashamed tbh. We want an actual wipeout game ffs, we had wipeout on the ps vita, that device is soooo underpowered compared to literally the most basic of smartphone nowadays, y’all could have delivered tbh, even an adaptation like Mario kart could have worked, idk hope if sony or whoever has the ip of wipeout now decided to make a new one they’ll make an actual wipeout game and not… this Edit: after playing for a few more minutes: THE FKN ADS???!! “Oh you got this reward, watch an ad to claim or tap her to continue” Me: “a reward only for u watch an ad is not a reward tho? Anyways lemme skip *taps on the continue button instead of the watch ad* *an ad starts playing* 🤩 amazing UPDATE: I unlocked all the ships in 3 days and finished all the campaign in a day more lmao 💀 it seems decent for what it does but it’s super short and not a racing game. Changing to two stars bc the art is cool and it has a lot of lore and text about the wipeout universe. Also btw the achievements are broken, I didn’t unlock any of the defeat the boss of literally every championship, I defeated all of them, my profile card thing says I have it at 100% completion but all the defeat bosses achievements appear as locked lol
