Gate.io - Buy Bitcoin & Crypto

Just avoid the gate crypto exchange, I’ve been using them for several years and all was good till recently when I received several emails from them recommending the lend and earn feature, so clicked on it via the app and transferred some crypto into it. I now discover that they have deleted the link to transfer the crypto back into the spot account so it’s stuck there. They have also disabled the ability for me to sell my existing crypto in the spot account citing UK regulations yet are quite happy to accept incoming payments and continue to send out emails about their lend and earn offers. I have sent numerous emails yet they ignore emails and support tickets, when I contacted their live support they said they would transfer my crypto back into tithe spot wallet and I should check after an hour, needless to say it wasn’t. I really don’t understand why they are doing this in the run up to the next bull market, but the Gate exchange is certainly behaving like a scam site. The Gate exchange are blocking me from transferring my funds off the exchange to a more reputable one. Bottom line is: AVOID

The worst crypto platform I ever met . My account has been hacked , The support team questioned me a lot for nothing . This platform highly likely is full of scammers. Watch out!!! I failed to close my account with them , they set up huge obstacles to leave them. Horrible !!!!

This is the worst app I have used from a UX perspective. The app repeatedly asked for email code generations, which I performed, then it was SMS confirmation. Then the process started over. Then the app informed me that there were too many attempts. Appalling UX

A cautionary tale. I’ve traded with gate.io for a few years now and have had very few problems till recently, when a message started appearing on the app stating it wasn’t available to customers in the Uk due to regulatory reasons. Fair enough. However I’m an existing customer and all seemed fine till I tried to trade and was unable to. Unfortunately this means that I can’t sell the tokens in order to withdraw the USDT to another wallet or exchange. And it gets better, some crypto was auto moved to their lend and earn platform but they deleted the link on the iPhone app so I can’t retrieve it. Their support team ignore all emails and tickets, and having read some of the many abysmal reviews on TrustPilot my conclusion is that gate.io may well be a scam crypto exchange. If you’re considering buying some crypto I highly recommend that you avoid gate.io and buy it from one of the more reputable exchanges out there. I’m really surprised that Apple allow themselves to be associated with such a shockingly poor quality crypto exchange by continuing to allow the app to be downloaded from the App Store. Realistically I would expect Apple to put a temporary block on the app until these issues have been resolved. I await the response from gate.io to my review on here being something along the lines of an apology and for me to submit a ticket, well that’s not good enough. I’ve submitted an email and tickets and they have chosen to ignore me, so unlock my account so I can sell the crypto and then withdraw it to a more reputable crypto exchange. Bottom line is that this shoddy behaviour by gate.io isn’t acceptable.

First of all, their customer service is awful. Had to wait 45 minutes and then they disconnected me. Secondarily, you can only withdraw using ETH. Which means if you send USDT to their platform, you can’t take it out without paying a $15 miner fee PAID IN ETHEREUM which you will not have unless you also send them a separate transaction. Awful site, almost all other exchanges are better which is laughable,
