Amazing app!
I 100% recommended!
Very, very helpful.
If your trying to study for your theory test, there is no better option to help you pass than this app.
Not designed for visual learners or people with Learning Difficulties
Whilst there are a lot of helpful things in this, considering they have been producing learning tools for driving for years I’m surprised they haven’t developed anything for people who have learning difficulties like myself. There could be an option to have a different coloured background but they could also incorporate images and/or videos of what they are describing.
Search function
The app is very nice. Has gotten better over the years but in a recent update the ability to search the Highway Code for keywords appears to have vanished and I don’t know why.
Search option removed
Fantastic app! Can’t believe they removed the search option. It was invaluable!!!
Incompetence All Round
Williams Lea, who somehow have come into ownership of TSO (the government publisher formerly known as HMSO), finally update The Official Highway Code app to include changes made to the code over 12 months ago. Incompetence. The new version of the app is bug ridden. For example, many main menu items result in returning to whatever was the previous page rather than the subject intended (e.g. the 'Review' option). Incompetence. Williams Lea have failed to include a search facility in the revised app. This is a staggeringly idiotic omission. Way beyond incompetence. This company is clearly no more fit to be responsible for government publications than our current government is suitable for being responsible for national security and wellbeing.
Refund Requested
One major flaw. Cannot be searched. One minor flaw. If you do use the index to find something, i.e. Z for zebra crossing, there are several sections you need to look at, but once you use the link to take you to one section, the back button takes you back to the main page, not the items under Z. Poor design in regards to searching makes this unusable for an instructor looking to use it several times a day.
