Very handy and works well. Has all the features you need, including catalogues and discounts. The only issue is a big one - if you leave the app open it drains the battery really quickly. (iPhone SE and iPhone 8, even on latest iOS.) Fix that and it is five stars.
Almost great!
Have been a customer now for a few months and I really like the app. It’s really easy to use and set up. The costs are a bit higher than some competitors but for us having 24/7 support as we are open long hours is a god send and we get great customer support. We would love to see a discounts feature and a gift card and loyalty features as we have to use other systems for this and would be nice to have it all in one system.
Crashes when you login to another till
If you have more than one till system it crashes when you try to login to another. You have to delete the app and reinstall before it will allow. Rubbish!
The replacement ZINC app is Not Fit For Purpose
The new software roll out that has replaced ZINC is an epic disaster. The new software app has less functionality than ZINC. App logs out in middle of customer sales!! Customers don’t know if they’ve paid or not. Customer Services can’t tell either it’s a total shambles. It’s the exact same terminal as for zinc but with no telephone sales available. World Pay have realised after thousands of complaints they have messed up massively. So they now are giving small business users FREE access to the £9.99 virtual payments system to take deposits and sales over phone. So now we have TWO platforms we need to log into. The sales data doesn’t link so it’s far harder for tax reports. There is NO sms receipt function anymore. There is NO dedicated phone support. You have to go through to World Pay, but can’t use Opt 1 for technical support - so they transfer you to yes you’ve guessed it the Original ZINC support team!! SO WHY GET RID OF ZINC AND CHARGE US MORE FOR A NON FUNCTIONING APP. Today I’ve lost £299 in sales. World Pay won’t refund even though they can see the transactions were stopped by their software crashing. My advise is to steer well clear. I can’t survive loosing £299 per day!! I’m terminating my contract after 3 trouble free years with World Pay because they have rolled out a payment system that just doesn’t even accept payments!
