Alberta's Beverage Container Management Board (BCMB) is a not-for-profit organization formed by representatives of Alberta beverage manufacturers, depots and the public (environmental organizations, municipalities and interested citizens). The BCMB is charged with the responsibility of regulation and delivering Alberta's beverage container system. Scanner behind login??
I used this app to check if an item.could be refunded, now you move that behind a login, for what purpose, this app was great till then. Now it's useless!

I agree with the other reviewer. I used this app all the time. It was easy to use & accurate. Now you want my personal gmail account & a sign-in to track me?? You’re crazy if you think people are going to do that. Ridiculously frustrating

What is an alberta depot account? Ridiculous, this app was extremely useful for new or uncommon items to quickly identify while doing an order and now it’s unusable because I don’t have an account of some kind? And why not let customers use it? I recommended it constantly, it helped people, especially those from out of province, identify items we take before bringing in bags of random recycling. And I’m definitely not attaching my private gmail account to it. Very poor decision… probably got complaints from sketchy depots frustrated that customers knew better than their poorly trained (or deceptive) staff 🤷♂️

This app doesn’t actually scan the barcode, you have to enter the numbers from the upc manually
CanadaNew update ruined it
In old version of the app any user could use the scanner to check if a bottle is refundable. New update moved the scanner behind the login screen, and you will need to be a depot owner to get a account. The update made the app useless for everyone else.
CanadaNo way to retrieve forgotten password
The app is very basic. There are only 2 options: scan a barcode and login to your account. However, there is no way to retrieve a forgotten password.
