The Dexcom Follow App is part of the Dexcom CGM system. Use this app if your loved one is sharing data from their Dexcom CGM app. The Sharer will need to send an invitation to allow you to connect after you have installed the Follow app. Dexcom Follow is the perfect companion to your loved one’s Dexcom CGM, connecting you to those nearest and dearest to you, even when they’re far away. Through secure wireless connections, Dexcom Follow allows you to view and follow the glucose levels, trends and data of your loved ones. Whether you have a child who is in school, an elderly parent who lives on their own, or a spouse who is going on a business trip, Dexcom Follow is there to keep you connected and informed. With Dexcom Follow, you can: · Monitor your loved one’s glucose activity at school or anywhere they go. · Receive glucose information of up to 10 different Sharers – children, friends, or other loved ones. · Respond quickly with the help of customizable glucose alerts and push notifications that can inform you when a Sharer’s glucose levels are outside the usual ranges.
Disconnects
The app disconnects regularly from the device. It did it with very low blood sugar and I think that’s kind of dangerous. Maybe make an updated version???
CanadaHorrible app
My daughter’s dexcom had a glitch. Wouldn’t allow us to see her numbers again. After a phone reset my wife’s phone worked mine still did not. I deleted myself off everything, deleted the app, then turned everything off and back on. Downloaded everything again, sent a new invitation and a message comes up saying I’m already following them???
CanadaYay watch app, but where’s the complication?
Good app, but so much work to do: 1. Please allow the Follow app to break through as a critical alarm - seems like a no-brainer. When in do not disturb, my son will get an audible notification on his device, but Follow is silent on my phone. 2. And please add some support for Shortcuts! It’d be fantastic to be able to use a low sugar notification to trigger actions on our HomePods, lights, etc… 3. Please make an Apple Watch complication.

A two star average review should tell them there are app problems. Yet tech support Samantha continuously denies it and has all sorts of ideas that don’t work.
CanadaUpdate might be helpful
Have not been able to use this yet. Have spent over an hour on the phone with tech support but they don’t know what’s wrong. I think it’s obvious. It hasn’t been updated since August 2023 so if you’ve updated your iOS since then you’re probably out of luck like the rest of us.
CanadaApp not working
This app hasn’t worked for months. My parent uses the G6 monitor and this app hasn’t been able to show me their readings (despite uninstalling the app and reinstalling it again).
CanadaNot well programmed
Could not get it to work on my iPhone XR, continuously says server error. Had the person I wanted to follow on my iPad, but had follow stopped to try to get it to work on my phone. Now when you open the app it says sharing stopped by user, even though I have a new invitation. Very poor programming
