Recycling. We all want to do it, but how many of us are doing it correctly? Trying to guess which bin your waste goes in can be tricky, but thankfully, Recycle Buddy is here to make it a lot easier for Victorians who want to do their bit for the plant. This simple, easy to use app, will take out the guesswork of what goes in which bin. With easy to use colour coding and council information and links, recycling will become a breeze

Agree with other review. Is only useful as a shortcut to your local councils website. After you choose your councils it listed everything color coded. When you click on the item it generally has a yes or no if yes states some councils do and some don’t. To find out if your already selected councils does you have to click on the link supplied to your council that takes you to their page. Needs more work!
Surely still being developed
This is okay, gives a rough idea of what can be recycled where if you don’t already know this or aren’t sure, and no obvious bugs. The ‘enter your local council’ concept though is gimmicky at best. As you click on each item, all you get is a generic statement that some councils accept different things and a link to your local council’s website. It is also somewhat pessimistic, at least in terms of plastics, suggesting a lot of councils only recycle plastics with codes 1 & 2 - in my experience most recycle everything up to at least code 5 these days. The app may as well just have the generic statements by default and then a link to all council’s websites on a separate page. Maybe ultimately the aim is to update this information with accurate info for each council, at which point this would be far more useful.
