Plan
Garmin Pilot’s powerful capabilities start with pre-flight planning, providing pilots with the most comprehensive aviation weather information to make better-informed flight decisions. Pilots can check NEXRAD radar, visible and infrared cloud imagery, METARs, TAFs, AIRMETs, SIGMETs, PIREPs, NOTAMs, winds and temperature aloft, PIREPs, TFRs and lightning data. With Garmin Pilot, data can be displayed over a VFR sectional or an IFR low or high en-route chart to visualize the weather for your route. Add text-based weather widgets and use the exclusive NavTrack feature to view weather along the planned route.
File
With Garmin Pilot, users can easily enter a flight plan. Pre-loaded forms make it quick to save and reuse data for frequently flown routes. And when the flight plan is ready, Garmin Pilot makes it simple to file, cancel or close the flight plan.
Fly
Garmin Pilot provides full en-route navigation capability on its moving map, while showing ETE, ETA, cross track error, distance to waypoint and current position.
Log
Garmin Pilot includes a comprehensive electronic logbook that syncs with flyGarmin. The logbook automatically generates entries based upon GPS data collected during the flight, tracks currency, supports manual entries, endorsements and creates reports.

Multiple times I've had the app close, then unable to reopen IN FLIGHT due to it not being able to verify my subscription. This is dangerous. Speaking with a Garmin rep at Sun n Fun he said the Android version is still about 2 years behind iOS. I understand they are working to catch up, but it needs to happen fast. Many folks already have Sentry for use with ForeFlight. If we had compatibility between Garmin and Sentry, a lot of people would be willing to give Garmin Pilot a try.
Great overall EFB but the development on android is lacking many features available on iOS. The biggest for me and why I give 2 stars is iOS has had open standards GDL-90 ads-b traffic/gps/weather for 2 years but it's still not available on Android, which means the app is only really usable with Garmin GPS devices.

No support for Stratux on Android version. Very disappointed to find this out and I'm considering switching. It's otherwise a great app with lots of good features.
Love it
App has issues picking up traffic, getting basic airport information like taxi diagrams among other things. Unfortunately I'm locked in for a year or I would get foreflight. Overall this app has been a major let down. It's behind the curve in a lot of ways which is disappointing because I love garmin products.
Since AWWS shut down, WX Imagery for Canada no longer works. I'm very disappointed with Garmin and I hope they fix their s$&# soon.
